Maddie Wright

Maddie is a junior and a member of UCLA’s swim team. She was captain and MVP of her high school swim team. She was a camp counselor for three summers and is a swim instructor. Maddie is co-chair of the UCLA Student Athlete Sustainability club which organizes sustainable events, educate our peers, and participate in environmentally focused community service.


Jenner Pennock

Hometown: Temecula, CA

Jenner is graduating this spring and was a member of Utah’s springboard/diving team for four years. He was captain and MVP of his high school diving team and was a gymnast for seven years before switching to diving. He coached young kids in gymnastics for four years. Jenner was a trip leader on missions for a humanitarian group in Peru and the Virgin Islands and in May he will be a trip leader for a mission in the Dominican Republic.


Sophia Hartwell

Sophia is a senior and a long jumper and triple jumper on UCLA’s track team. She was her high school’s female athlete of the year and a silver medalist at the 2018 Junior National Championship in the triple and long jump. She was also on her high school soccer team. She was a camp counselor for four summers. Sophia is currently a spokeswoman and culture consultant for Champion where she helps to empower girls and women, inspire confidence and self-expression through social media, sports, and various events.


Andrew Riviello

Andrew is a senior and is the coxswain on Oregon States men rowing team and placed first in men’s championship 4+. He ran cross country in high school as well as the 100m and 200m on the track team. He was head coach for Norcal rowing club for four summers for elementary through high school kids and a basketball coach for elementary kids.


Brooklyn Aguilera

Water Polo
Hometown: Honolulu, Hawaii

Brooklyn is a junior and member of USC’s women’s water polo team that won the 2021 national championship. She was female athlete of the year for her high school and MVP of the water polo team and voted most spirited by fellow students. She was a swim instructor for elementary kids for four summers and a counselor for Junior Lifeguards for elementary and junior high kids. She was a volunteer at her local Boys & Girls Club.


Tyler Williams

Tyler is a senior and member of Colorado’s track team where he runs the 100m, 200m and 400m. In high school, he was the two-time state champion in the 400-meter dash. He was the team captain for three years of his high school track team. He was a wide receiver and safety on his high school football team and a forward/center on the basketball team. He coached elementary and junior high kids in football for four summers and was a lifeguard for two years.


Nikki Jennings

Nikki is a senior and runs the 60m, 100m and 200m on Hawaii’s track team. She was also a member of Hawaii’s cheerleading team for two years. She was co-captain and MVP of her high school cheer team and a Florida all-state cheerleader nominee in 2019. She has twelve years’ experience in all-star cheerleading, with three years at a world competitive level. Her cheer stunting and tumbling skills are at the expert level. She has coached cheer, including as a Varsity/UCA instructor, for five years. She was a volunteer for a hospice organization and the special Olympics.


Cameron Baisden

Cameron is a senior and member of Central Florida’s cheerleading team that won the college national championship in 2020 and he received the Coaches Award twice and the Rookie of the Year Award. He did the hurdles, 4x4 and long jump on his high school track team and was a power forward/center on the basketball team. He was MVP twice for his high school cheerleading team. He has been a coach for high school cheerleading teams for five years and an instructor for Varsity/UCA for three years. Cameron is the 2023 Florida High School State Athletic Association State Champion as a coach.


Bea Asomaning

Bea is a senior and throws the discuss and throws discuss and hammer on Washington’s track & field team and received All-American Honorable Mention honors in 2022. She was on the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll twice. In high school, she was the state champion in the discuss and 6th in the state in the shotput. She was captain of her high school volleyball team and received all-state honors in 2019. She was also the center on the basketball team. She was a counselor at a leadership camp for junior high kids for three summers and a volleyball coach for elementary and junior high kids for three summers. Bea was a daycare teacher for two summers and is currently a referee for intramural sports at Washington.


Aaron Kim

Aaron is a sophomore and does the high jump on UCLA’s track & field team. He was a silver medalist at the 2022 USATF under 20 Outdoor Championships. He was captain of his high school team and 2021 state high jump leader in California, Central Coast Section Field Athlete of the Year and selected to the All-State Track & Field first team. He also has been playing competitive basketball for ten years. He was an assistant basketball coach for 4th to 8th. graders. Aaron was a volunteer for the Ecumenical Hunger Program where he packed and distributed boxes of food and served meals to families and individuals in low-income communities. His passion outside of track is art and collaborated with a friend to paint a 20-foot mural in his hometown.


Taylor McEvilly

Taylor is a junior and a goalie on UCSB’s women’s water polo team. She was named Big West Academic All-Conference in 2022. She was named defensive player of the year four times for her high school water polo team and was All-Area Athlete of the Year. She was also on her high school volleyball and swim teams. She was a swim instructor for pre-school to 11th graders for three summers and was an assistant coach for a high school water polo team. She is a liaison on UCSB’s athletic departments zero waste committee and is a volunteer tutor teaching elementary students about the environment.

Aidan is a junior and throws the discuss and shotput on UCLA’s track & field team. He was an NCAA Western Regional Qualifier in the discus. In high school, he was the Southern California (CIF section) champion in shotput and discuss in 2019 and state championship runner-up in the shotput. He played defensive guard and offensive tackle on the football team. He was a camp counselor at UCLA’s track & field summer camp for elementary and junior high kids and he is a member of the Bruin Athletic Council.


Kailee Ruiz

Kailee is a on the Davis swim team and earned four time all conference honors. She was captain and MVP of her high school swim team. She was also on the volleyball team and did ballet for four years prior to focusing on swimming and was in a choir for four years. Kailee created the Asian American and Pacific Islander Student Athlete Resource Group at Davis to provide student athletes a safe space to bond with others about Asian American news and events. She also volunteers for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. She plays six instruments and will hopefully get to showcase her talent at camp!


Mason Morris

Mason is a sophomore and is on the USC swim team. He was a scholastic All-American four times in high school and his swim team was D2 champions in San Diego. He has been a swim coach for pre-school through high school kids for five years. He is a representative in the Trojan Athletic Senate and is a community organizer, organizing and planning community events and outreach programs to strengthen the community between university students and surrounding local unhoused populations.


Megan Shimoda

Megan is a senior and member of UCSB’s women volleyball team and received Big West All-Academic honors in 2022 as well as being on the Dean’s Honor Roll for three years.
In high school, she received all Southern California (CIF) team honors as captain of her high school volleyball team as well as league MVP and high school athlete of the year. She played organized basketball for ten years. Megan was a summer volleyball coach for seven years and head coach of the Venice Japanese Community Center you basketball team.
